Under construction

WHAT WE WILL BE HAS NOT YET BEEN MADE KNOWN.

1 JOHN 3:2 NIV
You say, ‘My life is so messed up at the moment.’ Maybe that’s true, but the Bible says: ‘Dear friends, now we are the children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known.’ Have you ever been to a building site? It looks like anything but a building, doesn’t it? But bit-by-bit under the architect’s supervision, bricks, beams, and piles of sand start taking shape. And the church is a bit like a construction site too. When the Church is doing the kind of things Jesus called it to then the seats should be packed with people who feel messed up and are looking for the answer, people being pulled out of rough situations, people in the process of being restored. News Flash! Growing up doesn’t just happen; no baby comes out of the womb clean and in the latest ‘Baby Gap’ outfit! Nope, as we all know there is pain, stretching, messiness, and then major life adjustments always accompanying a new life. When you said ‘Yes’ to Jesus He gave you new life and not just any life; He promises life in all it’s fullness, (John 10:10) . There is a plan and purpose behind what’s going on in your life right now. Things are coming together. You see, when Jesus comes into your life your spirit is immediately changed, but your emotions, desires and attitudes still need work. When you choose to let God’s Spirit guide you and not how you feel, you will start to see a change, coz His Spirit will touch your emotions, your desires…every part of you will start to become more like Him. (1John 3:10) How awesome is that!
